Peach County drops Game One to Harlem in the Sweet 16
Peach County Baseball dropped the first game of the Sweet 16 series on the road at Harlem High School on Monday 6-4.
The Trojans outhit Harlem 7 to 6 in the game but could not overcome several defensive miscues that led to 4 unearned runs for the Bulldogs. Starting pitcher Aden New threw well, scattering 5 hits over 3.1 innings. He was relieved by freshman Evan Rush, who pitched the final 2.2 innings, allowing no runs on just one hit.
Offensively, the Trojans had a late surge and made it interesting in the 7th. Bryce Harrelson was 2/4 with 2 RBI. Thomas Gregory had a pinch-hit single that plated two. Nick Hardee, DJ Hudson, Kenyon Walker, and Zion Hudson also collected one hit each for the Trojans.
