Peach County Trojans Loses Despite Out-Hitting Flowery Branch Varsity Falcons

Peach County Trojans fell 6-3 to Flowery Branch Varsity Falcons on Friday despite out-hitting them seven to three. Rigsby Booth led Peach County Trojans with two hits.
Peach County Trojans opened the scoring in the bottom of the third thanks to two singles. Peach County Trojans first got on the board when Nick Hardee singled, scoring one run.
Flowery Branch Varsity Falcons took the lead in the top of the seventh inning after Antonio De La Torre Mariscal singled to left field, Tyler Folkers singled to left field, Jake Stone walked, Parker Bourrie walked, Anthony Almeroth grounded into a fielder's choice, and Javi Ojeda singled to left field, each scoring one run.
DJ Hudson started the game for Peach County Trojans. The right-handed pitcher surrendered two hits and five runs over six and one-third innings, striking out seven and walking two. Riley Castaneda started on the hill for Flowery Branch Varsity Falcons. The hurler allowed five hits and three runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out six and walking three.
Booth, Zion Hudson, and Hardee each drove in one run for Peach County Trojans.
De La Torre Mariscal, Folkers, and Ojeda each collected one hit for Flowery Branch Varsity Falcons. Stone, De La Torre Mariscal, Folkers, Almeroth, Bourrie, and Ojeda each drove in one run for Flowery Branch Varsity Falcons. Flowery Branch Varsity Falcons turned one double play in the game.
Peach County Trojans With Tough Game Against McEachern Varsity Indians

Peach County Trojans had trouble keeping up with McEachern Varsity Indians in a 10-0 loss on Saturday.
McEachern Varsity Indians got on the board in the first inning after Malachi Butler homered to right field, scoring two runs.
McEachern Varsity Indians added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning when Chubb Jones Jr. singled, scoring two runs, Alvaro Trejo doubled, scoring one run, and Adrien Islas drew a walk, scoring one run.
Jones Jr. earned the win for McEachern Varsity Indians. The hurler surrendered one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking one. Scout Willingham took the loss for Peach County Trojans. The pitcher went two innings, giving up four runs on one hit, striking out three and walking five.
Willingham went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Peach County Trojans in hits.
Leandro Sanchez, McEachern Varsity Indians's number eight hitter, led the team with two hits in two at-bats. Butler went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. McEachern Varsity Indians had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game. Butler and Islas led the team with two bases on balls each. Butler stole two bases. McEachern Varsity Indians stole four bases in the game.
Scout Willingham Powers Peach County Trojans Past Sprayberry Varsity Yellowjackets

Scout Willingham hit two home runs and drove in four as Peach County Trojans defeated Sprayberry Varsity Yellowjackets 6-1 on Saturday. Willingham homered in the fourth and second innings.
Jackson Peavy struck out 13 batters on the day. The lefty also allowed zero hits and zero runs over five innings while walking three.
Peach County Trojans got on the board in the second inning after Willingham hit a solo home run to left field.
Willingham homered to center field, scoring three runs in the bottom of the fourth for the Peach County Trojans.
Luke Hopkins stepped on the mound first for Sprayberry Varsity Yellowjackets. The starting pitcher surrendered eight hits and six runs over five innings, striking out one and walking none. Owen Meredith appeared in relief for Peach County Trojans.
DJ Hudson went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Peach County Trojans in hits. Peach County Trojans were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Willingham had the most chances in the field with 15.
Aiden Lynch and Hopkins were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Sprayberry Varsity Yellowjackets. Lynch went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Sprayberry Varsity Yellowjackets were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Aaron Hartsell made the most plays with four.
