Make it Six out of Seven No-Hitters to start the season for Peach Baseball

The Peach County Trojans won big over the Hawkinsville Red Devils 15-0 on Friday.

The Trojans jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after DJ Hudson drew a walk, scoring one run; Torin Helms hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run; Xavion Childs drew a walk, scoring one run; Zion Hudson drew a walk, scoring one run, and Bryce Harrelson drew a walk, scoring one run.

Peach County added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Childs walked, Hudson grounded out, Jackson Peavy hit a sacrifice fly, Hawkinsville committed an error, and Helms walked, each scoring one run.

Harrelson earned the win for the Peach County Trojans.

The right-handed pitcher gave up zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out five and walking two. Hudson tossed two innings of zero-run ball for Peach County Trojans in relief. The reliever allowed zero hits, striking out two and walking none.

Harrelson led Peach County Trojans with two hits in two at-bats. Peavy went 1-for-2 at the plate as the infielder led the team with three runs batted in.

Childs paced Peach County Trojans with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating 11 walks for the game. Hudson stole two bases. The Trojans ran wild on the base paths, piling up five stolen bases for the game.

Thomas Gregory ended the game in the bottom of the 4th inning with a walk-off line drive single to LF.

 

Peach County Trojans will travel to Perry for their next game on Wednesday.
