Peach County Baseball loses to Swainsboro 5-0
Peach County Baseball watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 5-0 loss to Swainsboro on Thursday. Swainsboro scored on a double by Lenox Lively in the first inning.
One bright spot for Peach County was a single by Zion Hudson in the second inning.
Lively led things off on the mound for Swainsboro. Lively surrendered zero runs on zero hits over one inning, walking zero.
Bryce Harrelson was on the hill for the Trojans. The pitcher allowed three hits and three runs over five innings, striking out five. Aden New and DJ Hudson entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and one inning, respectively.
Zion Hudson led Peach County with two hits in three at-bats.
Jakari Nobles went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Swainsboro in hits.
Peach County opens Region 2-AAA competition next week against defending AAA State Champion Pike County High School. The Trojans play a single game at Pike County on Tuesday at 5:55 and host a DH on Friday, beginning at 5:00.
