Bryce Harrelson throws 3-inning Perfect Game against Southwest
The Peach County Trojans scored nine runs in the second inning, which helped them defeat Southwest High School 15-0 on Wednesday. Nick Hardee hit a sacrifice fly, scoring two runs; Wyatt Blanton singled, scoring one run; Kenyon Walker singled, scoring one run; Xavion Childs drew a walk, scoring one run; Tristan Lee drew a walk, scoring one run; Bryce Harrelson to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, an error scored one run, and Hardee drew a walk, scoring one run.
The Trojans jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Hardee drew a walk, scoring one run; a wild pitch scored one run; Zachary Veillon grounded out, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.
A single by Rigsby Booth extended the Trojans' lead to 15-0 in the bottom of the third inning for the Mercy Rule victory.
Harrelson earned the win for Peach County in a Perfect Game. The starting pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out eight and walking none.
Hardee drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Peach County Trojans with three runs batted in.
Harrelson, Booth, Zion Hudson, Walker, and Blanton each had one hit for the Peach County Trojans. Peach County was patient at the plate, collecting 11 walks for the game. Hardee and DJ Hudson led the team with two free passes each.
Hudson stole two bases. Peach County ran wild on the base paths, amassing six stolen bases for the game. The Trojans were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.
Peach County will travel to Taylor County for their next game on Thursday at 6:00. The JV plays at 4:00.
