Peach Baseball tops Camden County tonight 12-7

Xavion Childs Drives In 4 To Lead Peach County Trojans Past Camden Co. Varsity Wildcats

Xavion Childs drove in four runs on one hit to lead Peach County Trojans past Camden Co. Varsity Wildcats 12-7 on Friday. In the sixth inning, Childs singled, scoring one run.

Childs, Kade Thompson, and Zach Veillon at the bottom of Peach County Trojans's lineup combined for six of the team's 12 hits in their victory. They scored three runs and drove in six.

Peach County Trojans got on the board in the top of the first inning after DJ Hudson grounded out, and Rigsby Booth singled to right field, each scoring one run.

Peach County Trojans extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI ground outs by Childs and Zion Hudson.

Camden Co. Varsity Wildcats tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a double by Preston Conrad, a walk by Caden Napier, and a single by Will Johnson.

Peach County Trojans flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring six runs on three hits to take the lead, 10-4. The biggest blow in the inning was an error that drove in two.

Dawson Whaley earned the win for Peach County Trojans. The right-handed pitcher surrendered five hits and two runs over three and one-third innings, striking out three and walking two. Elijah Cox took the loss for Camden Co. Varsity Wildcats. The pitcher went two innings, giving up nine runs (eight earned) on seven hits, striking out one and walking two. Owen Meredith started on the bump for Peach County Trojans. The pitcher allowed four hits and four runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out none and walking three. Jaden Jones appeared in relief for Peach County Trojans, throwing two good innings to pick up the save.

Peach County Trojans amassed 12 hits in the game. Veillon, Peach County Trojans's number seven hitter, led the team with three hits in four at-bats. Scout Willingham and Thompson each collected multiple hits for Peach County Trojans. Hudson and Thompson each stole multiple bases for Peach County Trojans. Peach County Trojans ran wild on the base paths, collecting eight stolen bases for the game. Peach County Trojans turned one double play in the game.

Camden Co. Varsity Wildcats piled up 12 hits in the game. Johnson and Fabian Laboy each collected three hits for Camden Co. Varsity Wildcats. Fabian Laboy, Johnson, Parker Riendeau, Laboy, Caleb Gagliardi, and Conrad each drove in one run for Camden Co. Varsity Wildcats. Camden Co. Varsity Wildcats turned two double plays in the game.

Peach County Trojans will travel to Ware County Varsity Gators for their next game on Saturday at 1:00.
