Jackson Peavy struck out 14 batters as the lefty led Peach County Trojans past West Hall Varsity Spartans 8-1 on Friday. Peavy allowed three hits and one run over seven innings while walking none.
Peach County Trojans got on the board in the first inning after DJ Hudson grounded out, scoring one run.
Peach County Trojans added one run in the second. Wyatt Blanton singled down the left field line, making the score 2-0.

Peach County Trojans easily dispatched West Hall Varsity Spartans on Friday, 13-3.
Peach County Trojans got on the board in the top of the first inning after DJ Hudson doubled, scoring one run, Nick Hardee singled, scoring two runs, Kade Thompson hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Owen Meredith hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Six more Peach County Trojans runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 11-3. Wyatt Blanton singled, scoring two runs, Zion Hudson singled, scoring one run, Hudson singled, scoring one run, and Scout Willingham homered to center field, scoring two runs.
Hudson earned the win for Peach County Trojans. The pitcher gave up five hits and three runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out seven and walking two. Marcus Pugh took the loss for West Hall Varsity Spartans. The right-handed pitcher went three innings, allowing 11 runs on 10 hits, striking out one and walking one.
Peach County Trojans tallied 10 hits in the game. Blanton, Hudson, Willingham, and Hudson each collected two hits for Peach County Trojans. Blanton, Willingham, and Hudson each drove in two runs for Peach County Trojans. Thompson led Peach County Trojans with two walks.
