Trojans start the season with DH sweep
On Wednesday, Bryce Harrelson drove in four runs on one hit to lead Peach County past the Central Chargers 15-0. In the fourth inning, Harrelson tripled, scoring three runs.
The Trojans were the first to get on the board in the first when DJ Hudson doubled, scoring one run.
Peach County added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after a pitch hit Harrelson, and Hudson walked, each scoring one run.
The Trojans scored six runs on one hit in the bottom of the third inning. Wyatt Blanton drew a walk, scoring one run, Kenyon Walker hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Trevor Veillon grounded out, scoring two runs, Hudson singled, scoring one run, and Nick Hardee drew a walk, scoring one run.
Peach County scored six runs on three hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Walker drew a walk, scoring one run, Veillon singled, scoring one run, Harrelson tripled, scoring three runs, and Hudson singled, scoring one run.
Aden New earned the win for Peach County Varsity Trojans. The southpaw surrendered zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking none. Jayce Veal took the loss for Central. He went two innings, allowing three runs on one hit, striking out two and walking five. Jaden Jones pitched two innings of shutout ball for Peach County in relief. He allowed zero hits, striking out six and walking none.
Hudson went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Peach County in hits. Zion Hudson paced the Trojans with three walks.
In game two of the DH, Peach County faced Westside High School.
Bryce Harrelson collected three hits in three at-bats as the Trojans defeated Westside 15-0 on Wednesday. Harrelson singled twice in the second inning and once in the third inning.
Peach County won thanks in part to 10 runs in the second inning. an error scored two runs, Nick Hardee hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, an error scored one run, an error scored one run, Zion Hudson singled, scoring one run, Harrelson singled, scoring three runs, and Jackson Peavy drew a walk, scoring one run.

Peavy earned the win for Peach County Varsity Trojans. The southpaw surrendered zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out six and walking one. J Thompson took the loss for Westside. The starting pitcher went one and one-third innings, surrendering nine runs (five earned) on three hits, striking out one and walking seven. DJ Hudson threw one inning of zero-run ball for Peach County Varsity Trojans in relief. The right-handed pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out two and walking none.
Hudson collected two hits for Peach County in three at-bats. The Trojans had a strong eye at the plate, tallying nine walks for the game. Peavy and Wyatt Blanton led the team with two bases on balls each. Peavy threw an immaculate inning in the first, striking out the side on nine pitches. Harrelson and Hudson each stole multiple bases for Peach County. The Trojans ran wild on the base paths, amassing five stolen bases for the game. The Trojans were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.
