Baseball wins season home opener
The Peach County Trojans defeated Deerfield-Windsor 5-2 on Tuesday.
Peach County fired up the offense in the first inning, when DJ Hudson doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Bryce Harrelson was the winning pitcher for Peach County Trojans. He lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out 12. Aden New and DJ Hudson entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Hudson recorded the last three outs to earn the save for the Trojans.
L Daniel took the loss for Deerfield-Windsor. He surrendered three runs on three hits over three and a third innings, striking out five.
Cameron Griggs, Zion Hudson, DJ Hudson, Hunter Moye, and Bryce Harrelson each managed one hit to lead Peach County. The Trojans didn't commit a single error in the field.
