DJ Hudson's Big Day Propels Peach County Trojans Past Bainbridge Varsity Bearcats

DJ Hudson collected three hits in three at bats, as Peach County Trojans defeated Bainbridge Varsity Bearcats 11-1 on Thursday. Hudson hit a solo home run to center field in the fifth inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the second inning.

Peach County Trojans jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Rigsby Booth doubled, scoring one run, Kade Thompson singled, scoring two runs, and Wyatt Blanton doubled, scoring two runs.

A single by Nick Hardee extended the Peach County Trojans lead to 7-0 in the bottom of the second inning.

Peach County Trojans extended their early lead with two runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI singles by Xavion Childs and Hudson.

Peach County Trojans scored one run in the bottom of the fifth on a solo home run to center field by Hudson.

Jackson Peavy earned the win for Peach County Trojans. The hurler gave up zero hits and one run (zero earned) over four innings, striking out eight and walking six. Brooks Hines took the loss for Bainbridge Varsity Bearcats. The starting pitcher went two innings, allowing seven runs (five earned) on six hits, striking out three and walking three. Jaden Jones pitched one inning of scoreless ball for Peach County Trojans in relief. The reliever surrendered two hits, striking out two and walking none.

Peach County Trojans collected 10 hits in the game. Blanton, Hardee, and Thompson each drove in two runs for Peach County Trojans. Childs, Zion Hudson, and Hudson each stole multiple bases for Peach County Trojans. Peach County Trojans ran wild on the base paths, accumulating 10 stolen bases for the game.

Nate Cannon and Bowen Smith were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Bainbridge Varsity Bearcats while hitting back-to-back. Luke Griffin led Bainbridge Varsity Bearcats with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game.

DJ Hudson Does it Again to Lead the Peach County Trojans Past Bainbridge Varsity Bearcats

DJ Hudson drove in four runs on three hits to lead Peach County Trojans past Bainbridge Varsity Bearcats 13-2 on Thursday. Hudson hit a home run to left field in the third inning, scoring two runs, and doubled in the seventh inning, scoring one.

Peach County Trojans won thanks in part to nine runs in the seventh inning.  Hudson doubled, scoring one run, Kade Thompson drew a walk, scoring one run, Zach Veillon was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Xavion Childs was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Zion Hudson was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Hudson was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Scout Willingham tripled, scoring three runs.

Peach County Trojans got on the board in the top of the third inning after Hudson homered to left field, and Thompson doubled down the left field line, each scoring two runs.

Hudson earned the win for Peach County Trojans. The pitcher surrendered five hits and two runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking one. Parker Landrum took the loss for Bainbridge Varsity Bearcats. The right-handed pitcher went six innings, allowing six runs (three earned) on seven hits, striking out one and walking five.

Peach County Trojans had patience at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game. Rigsby Booth, Willingham, and Thompson led the team with two free passes each. Peach County Trojans ran wild on the base paths, tallying four stolen bases for the game.
