Peach County Trojans Take Lead And Never Look Back In Win Over Monroe Varsity Golden Tornado

Peach County Trojans easily dispatched Monroe Varsity Golden Tornado on Tuesday, 12-2.
Peach County Trojans jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Zach Veillon singled, scoring one run, Xavion Childs singled, scoring two runs, Zion Hudson drew a walk, scoring one run, DJ Hudson drew a walk, scoring one run, and a passed ball scored one run.
A walk by Childs, a single by Hudson, and a passed ball helped Peach County Trojans extend their early lead in the third.
Scout Willingham earned the win for Peach County Trojans. The right-handed pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out six and walking two. Bradyn Chamberlain took the loss for Monroe Varsity Golden Tornado. The right-handed pitcher went two innings, allowing six runs on three hits, striking out three and walking five. Dawson Whaley and Avery Horne each appeared in relief for Peach County Trojans.
Hudson led Peach County Trojans with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Nick Hardee went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Peach County Trojans in hits. Torin Helms paced Peach County Trojans with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating 12 walks for the game. Childs, Wyatt Blanton, Hudson, Helms, and Hudson each stole multiple bases for Peach County Trojans. Peach County Trojans stole 16 bases in the game. Peach County Trojans didn't commit a single error in the field. Veillon had the most chances in the field with 10.
