Peach County Baseball picks up its first Region 2-AAA win
Peach County Baseball coasted to an easy victory over Jackson 8-2 on Wednesday.
The Trojans got things moving in the first inning when Bryce Harrelson drew a walk, scoring one run.
Peach County put up three runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught by the Trojans was led by Austin Carmichael and DJ Hudson, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Jackson Peavy pitched the Trojans to victory. The southpaw surrendered two runs on five hits over five and a third innings, striking out 11 and walking one. Aden New threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Thomas Frost took the loss for Jackson. The hurler allowed two hits and four runs over three innings, striking out two.
Torin Helms led Peach County with two hits in two at-bats. The Trojans tore up the base paths, stealing seven bases on the day. Two players, Mac Raley and Torin Helms, stole two bases.
Peach County Baseball will play a DH at 5:00 on Friday at Jackson High School.
