Peach County Baseball completes the Spring Break sweep with a 12-4 victory at Ware County today

Peach County Trojans Defeat Ware County Varsity Gators On Multiple Hit Performance By Xavion Childs

Xavion Childs collected three hits in three at bats, as Peach County Trojans defeated Ware County Varsity Gators 12-4 on Saturday. Childs singled in the ninth inning, singled in the fifth inning, and singled in the eighth inning.

Peach County Trojans scored eight runs in the ninth inning on the way to victory. Owen Meredith hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Childs singled, scoring one run, Zion Hudson drew a walk, scoring one run, DJ Hudson was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Scout Willingham doubled, scoring three runs, and Miller Greene drew a walk, scoring one run.

Ware County Varsity Gators opened the scoring in the first after Walker Hudson singled, scoring one run.

Hudson singled to center field on the seventh pitch of the at-bat, which helped Peach County Trojans tie the game at one in the top of the third.

A single by Hudson gave Peach County Trojans the lead, 2-1, in the top of the fifth.

Ware County Varsity Gators took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. Bryce Dixon singled, scoring three runs, to give Ware County Varsity Gators the leg up, 4-2.

Hudson singled to center field, which helped Peach County Trojans tie the game at four in the top of the seventh.

Jaden Jones earned the win for Peach County Trojans. The pitcher gave up zero hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out three and walking one. Slade Sweat took the loss for Ware County Varsity Gators. The hurler went two innings, giving up four runs on four hits, striking out five and walking four. Jackson Peavy led things off on the mound for Peach County Trojans. The left-handed pitcher surrendered four hits and four runs (zero earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking two. Dixon started the game for Ware County Varsity Gators. The right-handed pitcher surrendered seven hits and two runs over six innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Peach County Trojans piled up 14 hits in the game. Childs and Hudson each collected three hits for Peach County Trojans. Hudson went 3-for-5 at the plate and led the team with four runs batted in. Hudson and Willingham each collected multiple hits for Peach County Trojans. Rigsby Booth paced Peach County Trojans with four walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating 10 walks for the game. Peach County Trojans turned one double play in the game.

Dixon provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Ware County Varsity Gators with two runs batted in. The pitcher went 1-for-3 on the day. Dixon, Luke Hooks, Hudson, and Isaiah White each collected one hit for Ware County Varsity Gators.

Peach County Trojans will travel to Dougherty Varsity Trojans for their next game on Tuesday.
