Peach County Trojans Walk It Off Against Mary Persons Varsity Bulldogs

Peach County Trojans took Wednesday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 3-2 walk-off victory over Mary Persons Varsity Bulldogs. The game was tied at two in the bottom of the seventh when Rigsby Booth singled, scoring one run.

 

The pitching was strong on both sides. Peach County Trojans pitchers struck out 14, while Mary Persons Varsity Bulldogs sat down nine.

 

Mary Persons Varsity Bulldogs got on the board in the third inning after a passed ball scored one run.

 

Peach County Trojans jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the seventh inning after Zion Hudson singled to center field, and Booth singled to center field, each scoring one run.

 

Jackson Peavy earned the win for Peach County Trojans. The southpaw surrendered four hits and two runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out 14 and walking three. Shivan Patel took the loss for Mary Persons Varsity Bulldogs. The pitcher went two-thirds of an inning, surrendering two runs on two hits, striking out none and walking one. Cole Carr started on the hill for Mary Persons Varsity Bulldogs. The hurler gave up four hits and one run over five and two-thirds innings, striking out nine and walking four.

 

Booth and Hudson each collected two hits for Peach County Trojans. Booth and Hudson each drove in one run for Peach County Trojans. Booth stole two bases. Peach County Trojans stole six bases in the game.

 

Tristan Hunt went 1-for-4 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Hunt, Bradley Hendricks, Nic Arnold, and Caeden Taylor each collected one hit for Mary Persons Varsity Bulldogs. Mary Persons Varsity Bulldogs were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Hunt made the most plays with eight.

Pitching Impressive As Peach County Trojans Beat Mary Persons Varsity Bulldogs

Both teams were strong on the mound on Wednesday, but Peach County Trojans defeated Mary Persons Varsity Bulldogs 3-0. DJ Hudson started the game for Peach County Trojans and recorded 21 outs.

 

Peach County Trojans got on the board in the top of the fourth inning after Nick Hardee singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.

 

Hudson earned the win for Peach County Trojans. The right-handed pitcher allowed four hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking none. Andrew Snow took the loss for Mary Persons Varsity Bulldogs. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits, striking out seven and walking two.

 

Hardee drove the middle of the lineup, leading Peach County Trojans with two runs batted in. The first baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Wyatt Blanton, Hardee, and Hudson each collected one hit for Peach County Trojans. Peach County Trojans didn't commit a single error in the field. Rigsby Booth had the most chances in the field with seven.

 

Mary Persons Varsity Bulldogs's Caden Taylor, the number eight hitter, led Mary Persons Varsity Bulldogs with two hits in two at bats. Mary Persons Varsity Bulldogs turned one double play in the game.
