Trojans toss 5th No-Hitter in Six Games

Peach County Trojans scored 11 runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Howard Varsity Huskies 15-0 on Thursday. Nick Hardee drew a walk, scoring one run; Hunter Moye doubled, scoring three runs; Matthew Cannon was struck by a pitch, driving in a run; Zion Hudson drew a walk, scoring one run; Bryce Harrelson drew a walk, scoring one run, DJ Hudson singled, scoring two runs, Hardee drew a walk, scoring one run, and Moye grounded out, scoring one run.

Peach County added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Harrelson doubled, Moye walked, a pitch struck Wyatt Blanton, and the Trojans scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run.

Jackson Peavy earned the win for Peach County Trojans. The left-handed pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out three and walking none. Joseph Johnson took the loss for the Howard Huskies. The lefty went one-third of an inning, allowing 11 runs on three hits, striking out one and walking eight. Cade Barrandey threw two innings of no-run ball for the Trojans in relief. He surrendered zero hits, striking out four and walking one.

Moye drove the middle of the lineup, leading Peach County with four runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Harrelson led Peach County with two hits in two at-bats.

Hardee paced Peach County Trojans with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up 12 walks for the game. Peavy threw an immaculate inning in the first, striking out the side on nine pitches. Hudson stole two bases. The Trojans ran wild on the base paths, amassing four stolen bases for the game. Peach County didn't commit a single error in the field. Zachary Veillon had the most chances in the field with four.
