Congratulations to this week's Peach County Baseball Players of the Week
The Peach County Baseball program had a fantastic first week with a double-header sweep of Central and Westside on Wednesday (a pair of 15-0 wins) and a double-header sweep of Taylor County (6-0) and Spalding High School (9-2) on Saturday in Peach County's "Diamond Day". All four wins were no-hitters.
On the week, Jackson Peavy, DJ Hudson, and Bryce Harrelson all emerged as top performers and have earned Player of the Week honors for Week 1 of the season.
On the mound on Saturday against Taylor County High School, Jackson Peavy pitched 6 scoreless and hitless innings, striking out 15 batters. He also pitched 2 scoreless and hitless innings on Wednesday, striking out 6 batters.
For the week, Bryce Harrelson finished the week 7/10 at the plate with a Double and a Triple, 10 Runs Scored, 9 RBI, and 10 Stolen Bases. Bryce also finished the final game on the mound for the Trojans, facing and striking out 2 batters.
DJ Hudson was also 7/10 for the week at the plate with 2 Doubles, 7 RBI, 4 Runs Scored, and 5 Stolen Bases. On the mound for the week, Hudson threw 6 innings of no-hit ball, striking out 9.
A big shout out to Carter Zoumberis, who was also named the JV Player of the Week, and will dress with the Varsity Baseball team this week.
