Peach County sweeps Bainbridge in Region 1-AAA this week
Big Fourth Inning Leads Peach County Trojans Past Bainbridge Varsity Bearcats

Peach County Trojans defeated Bainbridge Varsity Bearcats 9-2 on Friday thanks in part to five runs in the fourth inning. Wyatt Blanton singled, scoring one run, Xavion Childs doubled, scoring two runs, DJ Hudson singled, scoring one run, and Nick Hardee singled, scoring one run.
Bainbridge Varsity Bearcats got on the board in the top of the third inning after Luke Griffin laid down a sacrifice bunt, and Peach County Trojans committed an error, each scoring one run.
Hudson earned the win for the Peach County Trojans. The starting pitcher surrendered five hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking none. Brooks Hines took the loss for Bainbridge Varsity Bearcats. The pitcher went five innings, giving up seven runs (six earned) on 11 hits, striking out none and walking two.
Peach County Trojans piled up 13 hits in the game. Hardee provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Peach County Trojans with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 2-for-4 on the day. Blanton, Rigsby Booth, Owen Meredith, Zion Hudson, and Hardee each collected two hits for Peach County Trojans. Peach County Trojans ran wild on the base paths, accumulating five stolen bases for the game.
Griffin led Bainbridge Varsity Bearcats with one run batted in. Nate Cannon, Parker Landrum, Benji Dollar, Jacob Barber, and Hines each collected one hit for Bainbridge Varsity Bearcats. Bainbridge Varsity Bearcats turned one double play in the game.
Peach County Trojans will travel to Baldwin Varsity Braves for their next game on Saturday.
