Peach County Softball wins Region Championship !!!

The Peach County Lady Trojans got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Laylah Foster singled, scoring one run; Taleyah Marable doubled, scoring two runs, and Shaniyah Gibson hit a sacrifice fly, scoring two runs.

The Lady Trojans added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Alyssa Smith doubled, Saniya Martin grounded out, and Foster singled, each scoring one run.

Gracie Martin earned the win for the Peach County Lady Trojans. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and four runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out seven and walking one. Ensleigh Glass took the loss for Bainbridge. The starter went three innings, surrendering eight runs (seven earned) on seven hits, striking out none, and walking four.

Foster led Peach County with three runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. Foster went 2-for-2 on the day. Akira Everett and Foster each collected two hits for the Peach County Lady Trojans. Martin led the Lady Trojans with three walks. 

"This was the first-ever Softball Region Championship for Peach County High School," said Coach Joey Hiller.  "These girls have come so far.  I am so proud of them.  They deserve this.  They earned it.  I hope they will never forget that hard work and a great attitude lead to results. We look forward to the playoffs, which begin next Friday at home."
