Lady Trojans get 8-0 win on Senior Night
The Peach County Lady Trojans won big over Crisp County 8-0 on Wednesday for Senior Night.
The Lady Trojans got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Kaylyn Hornaday singled and Alyssa Crozier hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Gracie Martin earned the win for the Peach County Lady Trojans. The pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out nine and walking two. Blakely Young took the loss for Crisp County. She went five innings, surrendering six runs (three earned) on seven hits, striking out six, and walking two.
Crozier and Hornaday were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Peach County. Crozier, Hornaday, and Akira Everett each drove in two runs for the Lady Trojans. Crozier, Shaniyah Gibson, and Ta'Mori Hollingshed each stole multiple bases for Peach County.
"This was a fantastic Senior Night for our girls. They played so hard and did so well. Everything was great. I wish I had coached this special group of girls for 4 years," said Coach Hiller.
The Peach County Lady Trojans' next game is a Region 1-AAA game at Cairo High School on Thursday at 5:30.
