Peach County Lady Trojans Roll Past Westover Varsity Lady Patriots

Peach County Lady Trojans easily dispatched Westover Varsity Lady Patriots on Thursday, 14-1.

Peach County Lady Trojans got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Alyssa Crozier singled up the middle, Yumi Thomas walked, Lucy Warnock was struck by a pitch, Jaiden Carroll singled, Anna Grace Wilcox walked, Taleyah Marable hit a sacrifice fly, and Westover Varsity Lady Patriots committed an error, each scoring one run.

Peach County Lady Trojans added one run in the second. Addison Dickerson scored after tagging up, making the score 8-0.

Peach County Lady Trojans scored six runs on three hits in the bottom of the third inning. An error scored one run, Marable scored after tagging up, Thomas singled, scoring two runs, Carroll singled, scoring one run, and a passed ball scored one run.

Crozier earned the win for Peach County Lady Trojans. The pitcher gave up one hit and one run (zero earned) over four innings, striking out six and walking two. Mikiyah Lee took the loss for Westover Varsity Lady Patriots. The hurler went two innings, allowing seven runs (one earned) on four hits, striking out none and walking three. Chamya Astin stepped in the circle first for Westover Varsity Lady Patriots. The pitcher gave up two hits and seven runs (six earned) over one inning, striking out one and walking three.

Thomas led Peach County Lady Trojans with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-1 on the day. Peach County Lady Trojans's Carroll, the number eight hitter, led Peach County Lady Trojans with two hits in three at bats. Peach County Lady Trojans had a strong eye at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. Wilcox and Thomas led the team with two walks each. Dickerson stole three bases. Peach County Lady Trojans stole seven bases in the game.

Morgan Polite led Westover Varsity Lady Patriots with one hit in two at bats.
