Peach County Lady Trojans Vanquish Bainbridge Varsity Lady Cats In High-Scoring Affair

Both Peach County Lady Trojans and Bainbridge Varsity Lady Cats had their offenses going on Tuesday, but Peach County Lady Trojans eventually prevailed 22-10. Peach County Lady Trojans collected nine hits, while Bainbridge Varsity Lady Cats had five.

Peach County Lady Trojans got on the board in the top of the first inning after a wild pitch scored one run, a dropped third strike scored one run, an error scored two runs, Saniya Martin drew a walk, scoring one run, Taleyah Marable drew a walk, scoring one run, and Addison Dickerson singled, scoring two runs.

Auburn Culpepper homered to center field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first for the Bainbridge Varsity Lady Cats.

Peach County Lady Trojans scored nine runs on five hits in the top of the second inning. Lucy Warnock drew a walk, scoring one run, Jaiden Carroll singled, scoring one run, Avery Yaughn drew a walk, scoring one run, Marable singled, scoring three runs, Shaniyah Gibson singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Warnock tripled, scoring one run.

Peach County Lady Trojans added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Yaughn grounded out, and Bainbridge Varsity Lady Cats dropped a third strike, each scoring one run.

Bainbridge Varsity Lady Cats scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Alyssa Madge grounded out, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Kylaha Hughes drew a walk, scoring one run, and Zykiah Donaldson singled, scoring two runs.

Anna Grace Wilcox earned the win for Peach County Lady Trojans. The righty surrendered five hits and 10 runs (five earned) over four innings, striking out six and walking three. Culpepper took the loss for Bainbridge Varsity Lady Cats. The starter went four innings, surrendering 22 runs (nine earned) on nine hits, striking out two and walking 12.

Alyssa Crozier, Warnock, and Marable each collected two hits for Peach County Lady Trojans. Yaughn, Warnock, and Dickerson each drove in two runs for Peach County Lady Trojans. Martin led Peach County Lady Trojans with four walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing 12 walks for the game. Crozier, Yaughn, and Carroll each stole multiple bases for Peach County Lady Trojans. Peach County Lady Trojans stole 12 bases in the game.

Donaldson drove the middle of the lineup, leading Bainbridge Varsity Lady Cats with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day.

Peach County Lady Trojans welcome Upson-Lee on Wednesday for their next game.
