Peach County Defeats Rutland On Back Of Clutch Display From Lucy Warnock

Lucy Warnock drove in seven runs on three hits to lead the Peach County Lady Trojans past Rutland 20-0 on Tuesday. Warnock doubled in the first, scoring three, singled in the second, scoring three, and singled in the first, scoring two.

The bottom of the lineup was strong for the Peach County Lady Trojans. Anna Grace Wilcox, Avery Yaughn, and Warnock combined for six of the team's 12 hits in their victory. They scored one run and drove in nine.

Peach County Lady Trojans jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Alyssa Crozier doubled, scoring one run, Yumi Thomas singled, scoring one run, Jaiden Carroll drew a walk, scoring one run, Wilcox singled, scoring one run, Warnock singled, scoring two runs, Saniya Martin drew a walk, scoring one run, Crozier drew a walk, scoring one run, Addison Dickerson was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Thomas hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Wilcox drew a walk, scoring one run, Warnock doubled, scoring three runs, and a wild pitch scored one run.

Peach County Lady Trojans added three runs in the second after Warnock singled down the right field line.

The Lady Trojans added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after a pitch struck Riley Augsburger, and Carroll singled to left field, each scoring one run.

Wilcox earned the win for the Peach County Lady Trojans. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out six and walking none. Aubrey Moore took the loss for Rutland. The starting pitcher went one-third of an inning, surrendering 10 runs on six hits, striking out none, and walking two.

Peach County Lady Trojans amassed 12 hits in the game. Crozier and Yaughn each collected multiple hits for Peach County. The Lady Trojans had a strong eye at the plate, collecting eight walks for the game. Crozier and Carroll led the team with two bases on balls each. Martin stole two bases. Peach County ran wild on the base paths, collecting six stolen bases for the game.

Adrianna Kadian, Moore, Addison Payne, and Ava Bean each collected one hit for Rutland.
