Peach County Softball wins 10th consecutive game

Shaniyah Gibson was dominant in the circle, as the pitcher rang up 13 strikeouts in Peach County's 5-2 victory over Crawford County on Wednesday. Gibson gave up two hits and two runs over seven innings while walking four.

The Lady Trojans were the first to get on the board in the first when Kaylyn Hornaday double, her 13th of the season, plated two runs.

Gibson's solo home run to LCF in the top of the third gave Peach County a 3-0 lead.

Bailey Phillips took the loss for Crawford County.

The pitcher went seven innings, surrendering five runs on eight hits, striking out 12 and walking one.

Hornaday provided pop in the middle of the lineup and led the Peach County Lady Trojans with two RBI. The number three hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Alyssa Crozier and Gibson each collected two hits for Peach County.

 

The Peach County Lady Trojans will travel to Spalding on Monday next week as part of an extremely busy week.
