Alyssa Crozier drove in four runs on two hits to lead Peach County Lady Trojans past Upson-Lee Varsity Knights 12-0 on Monday. Crozier singled in the first inning, scoring two runs, and singled in the second inning, scoring two.
Peach County Lady Trojans were the first to get on the board in the first when Crozier singled, scoring two runs.
Peach County Lady Trojans scored five runs on two hits in the top of the second inning. Crozier singled, scoring two runs, Saniya Martin drew a walk, scoring one run, Faith Corley drew a walk, scoring one run, and Avery Yaughn drew a walk, scoring one run.
Peach County Lady Trojans added one run in the third. Upson-Lee Varsity Knights committed an error, making the score 8-0.
Crozier earned the win for Peach County Lady Trojans. The righty surrendered three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking none. Jamayah Carthon took the loss for Upson-Lee Varsity Knights. The hurler went one and two-thirds innings, giving up seven runs on four hits, striking out four and walking eight.
Crozier and Jaiden Carroll each collected two hits for Peach County Lady Trojans. Addison Dickerson paced Peach County Lady Trojans with four walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up 13 walks for the game. Shaniyah Gibson, Taleyah Marable, and Dickerson each stole multiple bases for Peach County Lady Trojans. Peach County Lady Trojans ran wild on the base paths, accumulating 11 stolen bases for the game.
Anna Dean, Carthon, and Brooklyn McDaniel each collected one hit for Upson-Lee Varsity Knights. Upson-Lee Varsity Knights turned one double play in the game.
Peach County Lady Trojans play at home on Tuesday against Cairo Varsity Syrupmakers in their next game.
