Lady Trojans improve to 7-0 in Region 1-AAA
Alyssa Crozier drove in four runs on four hits to lead the Peach County Lady Trojans past Bainbridge 11-5 on Tuesday. Crozier singled in the first, scoring two, tripled in the seventh, scoring two, and doubled in the fifth, scoring one.
The Lady Trojans jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Crozier singled, scoring two runs; Ta'Mori Hollingshed drew a walk, scoring one run, and Taleyah Marable doubled, scoring two runs.
Peach County added one run in the third. Gracie Martin tripled, making the score 6-2.
Kylaha Hughes homered to left field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth for the Bainbridge Varsity Lady Cats.
Martin earned the win for the Peach County Lady Trojans. The reliever allowed five hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking three. Emsleigh Glass took the loss for Bainbridge. The hurler went five and one-third innings, surrendering nine runs (three earned) on 10 hits, striking out three and walking six.
Peach County tallied 13 hits in the game. Martin, Hollingshed, and Alyssa Smith each collected multiple hits for the Lady Trojans. Peach County had a strong eye at the plate, tallying nine walks for the game.
Akira Everett and Shaniyah Gibson led the team with two walks each. Crozier, Everett, and Gibson each stole multiple bases for Peach County. The Lady Trojans stole 11 bases in the game.
