Peach Volleyball gets the Sweep
The Lady Trojans swept the matches at Crawford County today.
Peach County had a pair of 2-0 wins vs. the Lady Eagles, winning 25-13 and 25-20 in the JV match-up before the Varsity rolled to a 25-8 and 25-17 triumph in their tilt.
In the JV match, Peach County controlled throughout each contest and played everyone en route to their second win in seven tries. Everyone got touches, and each player got better throughout the contest.
On the Varsity level there were many superlatives on the floor led by Alexia Heyward's 16 Aces. Kelly Blackmon had 3 Kills and a Block while Demechia Walker contributed a pair of Kills, Blocks, and Digs.
In game one, Heyward had eight Aces as the Lady Trojans jumped ahead 11-0. Game two saw Crawford race out to a 5-0 start before Peach used eight more Aces from Heyward in 12 serves and scored 11 straight to forge ahead.
Peach moves to 6-12 while Crawford drops to 9-15 on the season.
Peach will do another doubleheader Thursday at Jackson. The JV will begin at 5:00 followed by the V match at 6:00.
