Peach Volleyball picks up first win of the season
Peach gains first volleyball win of the year by defeating Taylor County 2-0.
PCHS (1-1) raced ahead in game one and cruised to a 25-9 triumph. Alexia Heyward's 6 Aces and 3 Kills paced the Lady Trojans.
Kelly Blackmon and Demechia Walker carried the team in game two as all players saw action in the contest, and Peach won 25-18.
Both players had 4 Kills each, while Uzzhia Rumph tallied 3 Kills.
"This was a great way to bounce back after dropping the season opener on Tuesday," said Head Coach Billy Sellers.
PCHS will play Brooks County and Crisp County in a Tri-Match in Cordele starting at 6:00 pm next Thursday.
Taylor Co. dropped to 1-1 on their season.
