Volleyball splits tri-match

Volleyball splits tri-match

The Varsity Volleyball Lady Trojans split their two matches today. Against Crisp (14-1), Peach County got behind early in Game One with a few serving errors. The Lady Trojans had a hard time recovering. In Game Two, adjustments were made in attack plans, but some critical serving errors down the stretch led to a hard-fought loss in the second game, 22-25.

Against an improving Taylor County squad in the second match, Peach County got great efforts from Uzziah Rumph and Alexia Heyward. They helped lead the Lady Trojans to victory over the Lady Vikings.
Rumph had five aces in 11 serving chances, while Heyward chipped in 3 aces in 12 chances. Aamori Daniels had five kills to lead in that category and four blocks.

Throughout both contests, Heyward picked up eight aces and had four kills.

The Lady Trojans host the first Region 2-AAA match against Upson-Lee at home on Thursday at 5:00 pm.

"Maximum effort will need to be displayed to succeed in our mission," commented Coach Billy Sellers.
