Lady Trojans drop match two of the tri-match to Mary Persons 0-2
In the second match for Peach County, Mary Persons swept the two sets, winning 26-24 in game one and 25-9 in game two. Uzzhia Rumph and Kelly Blackmon did all they could to keep the Lady Trojans in it, amassing 7 Kills between them.
Walker and Bravo continued their good serving in match two, but MP broke open a tight second game and cruised to their 10th win of the year. Peach drops to 2-6 overall and 0-2 in Region 2AAA play. The Lady Bulldogs evened their Region record at 1-1.
Despite the two setbacks, there were some positive moments for Peach County. The girls are rounding into shape, and the tweaking of the service order is almost complete. There were many contributions in match one from multiple players. The first game against MP saw the Lady Trojans come back twice from being down five to tie it up and served for the win before MP closed out with three straight points. "Our team is getting closer, and the elimination of some unforced errors will go a long way," said Head Coach Billy Sellers.
