Volleyball swept tonight by Mary Persons
Mary Persons swept Peach County in volleyball in Forsyth as the Lady Bulldogs celebrated Senior Day with a pair of set wins, 25-13 and 25-11.
The win moves Mary Persons to 13-12 overall and 4-2 in Region 2-AAA action. Peach County drops to 6-11 and 0-5 for the year in the region.
Nyala Tillman, Monserrat Bravo, and Alicia Cason played well for Peach County, but the Lady Trojans never could muster a consistent run, single-serving 19 times in the two sets.
The Lady Trojans play again on Thursday as the Pike County Lady Pirates pay a visit to Fort Valley for a JV/V match-up starting at 5:30 p.m.
