Peach Volleyball swept by Pike County in Region 2-AAA match

In the JV tilt, the young Lady Trojans keep improving each time, but Pike County served a little better and won 25-16 and 25-14 to go to 8-1 on their season slate. The setback dropped Peach to 1-6 on the season.

The varsity match-up saw Peach County play about as good as they have played this year, but Pike County sits on top of Region 2-AAA for a reason, and the Lady Pirates moved to 5-0 in the Region play and 14-3 overall with the 25-12 and 25-17 wins in both sets.

Demechia Walker (4 Kills and 3 Blocks) and Kelly Blackmon (3 Kills and 3 Blocks) helped Peach County stay in the contest. Monserrat Bravo and Uzzhia Rumph each had four Digs, but the Lady Pirates pulled away late in both sets to secure their victory.

Peach (5-12 overall and 0-6 in Region play) will look to rebound against Crawford County on Monday as they will make the short trek to Roberta, GA for a JV/V match-up with the Lady Eagles starting at 5:00.
