Peach Volleyball drops opening match to Mount de Sales
MDS beat PCHD 2-0 in Lady Trojan's debut to the 2023 season.
Peach County High School had the first game jitters and dropped the first game 25-5 before outplaying the Cavaliers in game two but falling short by a 25-22 decision.
"MDS is one of the better teams in central Georgia, and our girls played well in game two," said Head Coach Billy Sellers. "Too many unforced serving errors led to the outcome, and we will get better."
In the match, Kelly Blackmon dominated play tallying 5 Aces, 2 Kills, and 2 Blocks.
The young JV crowd also lost 2-0.
Mount de Sales won 25-16 and 25-10 to start their season.
MDS' win on the varsity level was their third in five tries. PCHS, now 0-1, goes to Taylor County on Thursday for a Varsity-only match starting at 5:00 pm.
