Peach Volleyball drops Region 2-AAA home match to Jackson

Jackson swept both ends of a JV/V double-header in Fort Valley, winning both matches by a 2-0 count.

In the JV match the young Lady Trojans led throughout Game One, but a late surge by Jackson saw the Lady Red Devils win 26-24. Jackson then used a 9-0 run in Game Two to win 25-12. AnnaLena Hoffman and Ryenne Stephens played very well for Peach County. Both had five blocks each, and Stephens killed off seven tallies.

In the varsity match, Jackson showed why they are the class of Region 2-AAA, remaining undefeated in league play and improving their overall record to 12-8 with a 2-0 sweep of the sets.
In Game One, the Lady Trojans battled throughout, but Jackson's great net play proved too much to overcome, and the Lady Red Devils took the set 25-16. Game Two saw Jackson limit Peach County to just five service attempts, and the Devils prevailed 25-7.

Uzzhia Rumph had five Blocks and three Digs to pace the Peach effort.

The loss drops Peach's overall record to 5-10, and they are still searching for that elusive first Region 2-AAA victory, now sitting at 0-4 on the campaign.

Peach County returns to action on Tuesday evening in Forsyth at 6:00 for a Varsity match against Mary Persons.
