Peach County Football - Region 1-AAA Awards
Coach Marquis Westbrook, in his second year as the head coach of Peach County Football, led his team to an impressive 11-2 season. This outstanding performance earned him the prestigious GHSA Region 1-AAA Coach of the Year award, which was voted on by the coaches of Region 1-AAA.
Earning Region 1-AAA Overall Player of the Year honors was Senior QB DJ Hudson, who completed 170 of 260 passes for 2,886 yards and a Peach County single-season record 37 TD passes. Hudson also rushed for 1010 yards on 114 carries and 11 TD.
Sophomore Ace Blunt had a terrific season as a linebacker, earning GHSA Region 1-AAA Newcomer of the Year honors.
The following players also had outstanding seasons and earned GHSA 1-AAA First Team All-Region honors. Zion Hudson, Wide Receiver. Ashton Barton, Running Back. Jordyn Miller-Horne, Offensive Lineman. Carson Freeman, Linebacker.
