Eli Brown takes 3rd in GHSA Wrestling State Championships

Eli Brown Placed 3rd in the 165 lb. class at the GHSA State Wrestling Tournament finals on Saturday at the Macon Coliseum.

Brown finished the year with a 36-7 record as he led the Peach County Trojans in only their 2nd year of wrestling competition.

Coach Keith Lauritsen said, "Eli has been the heart and soul of this team over the last two seasons, and he will always be remembered for getting this program started the right way. Eli not only put in the work required to be successful as an individual wrestler, but he also spent countless hours each day teaching and working with this young team of beginners. Each time he took the mat, he demonstrated fierce competitiveness with class and great sportsmanship. He showed his entire team how to excel in every way possible."

The Trojan Senior plans on continuing his wrestling career at the next level and hopes to return to Peach County one day to teach and coach.
