Brown and Boutwell punch tickets for State Wrestling Finals
Eli Brown and Ian Boutwell will move on to the GHSA Wrestling Finals at the Macon Coliseum this Friday.
Brown and Boutwell punched their tickets on Saturday with top-six finishes at the State Sectionals in Thomaston, GA. Brown secured the #2 seed in the 165-pound division, and Boutwell earned his way as the #6 seed in the 144-pound weight class.
Eli Brown is a senior with an overall record of 30-5, while Boutwell has accumulated a 16-15 record during his junior season. Both wrestlers have led the way for this young Trojan team in only its second year of competition.
