Peach County Wrestling showed well at the Ola Tournament

The Trojan Wrestling Team finished 6th out of 14 teams at the Ola Invitational on Saturday. The second-year program scored 66 points on its way to a very successful day.

The top wrestler for the day was Eli Brown, who came in 2nd at 190 lbs. with a record of 4-1. Brown is 6-1 for the season and proves to be one of the top wrestlers in AAA this year.

Ian Boutwell also had a 4-1 record and came in 3rd in the 150 lb. class. Boutwell competed fiercely during the tournament as he defeated some very good wrestlers along the way.

Other notable performances were Jordyn Miller-Horne and Jaden Owens, who competed in the JV division, with Miller-Horne taking 1st place while going 4-0 for the day and Owens coming in 2nd at 3-1. 

Kollin Miller finished 3-2 for the day, while Seth Tanksly went 5-2. Jaylon El-Amin came in 4th at 215, going 3-2 and Hanna Hunt finished 3rd in the girl's division with a 2-2 record.

The Wrestling team travels to Sumpter Co. High School on Wednesday, December 7, and then will compete in the "Battle of the Flint" at Upson Lee High School on Saturday.
