Boys Soccer defeat Jackson 3-2 in Region 2-AAA
Your Peach County Boys Soccer team defeated Jackson High 3-2 at home last night in a steady rainstorm.
The PCHS boys dominated both possession and shots on goal throughout the game, with three different players representing the team on the scoreboard. Tre Britt opened the scoring after collecting a rebound of the Jackson GK and tucking the ball into the goal nicely.
Jackson rebounded by scoring two goals quickly but was answered almost immediately by a goal by Julio Castaneda, assisted by creative flank play and a tidy service from Nery Rodriguez.
Going into the second half, 2-2, the PCHS Boys dominated play but were held off from the game-winner until Micah Griggs broke into the penalty area and was fouled. Brenden Glover tucked the PK away for the game-winner, and PCHS went on to defeat Jackson and start their Region Play with a victory. PCHS sees Mary Persons on Friday at 7:30 PM as they look to continue their winning ways through the Region 2-AAA competition.
