Girls Basketball gets a big home W over Crisp County
Peach County Girls Basketball defeated the Crisp County Lady Cougars 79-38 on Friday night.
Atiana Gilcrist scored 20 points and was aggressive on defense to lead the effort for the Lady Trojans. Alexia Heyward scored 14 and was dominant on the boards. Aamori Daniels scored 12 and had several blocks, steals, and deflections. Brea Batts had a great game hitting a couple of threes and contributing defensively with several steals. Uzziah Rump made two cross-court bounce passes on a dime for great assists to Akiria Everett for a couple of baskets.
Coach Sherry Richards had this to say about her team's performance. "It was nice to see the defensive pressure and team rotations on the defensive side of the ball. We have to continue to work hard in the paint and BOX OUT! This was a nice team win."
Up next for Peach County Basketball: The Trojans and Lady Trojans travel to Dublin High School on Friday, December 16 to face the Irish.
